Is this one just for Mike, or can anyone chime in? lol...my clymers' says it's pretty straightforward, the hydralic lines do not need to be broken...remove the cover, rem the circlips, rem the retaining pin and the spring, remove the pads.
I own a 95 1100 Virago...I would suggest you get a Clymers or other manual however...we're talking brakes here, doing this job wrong can ruin your whole day! Clymer's describes 4 different types of pads , any will fit, but only one is right depending on model and year. So take care!Mike how to change front brake pads on yamaha xv1100?
pretty simple. remove the calipers, pop out the retaining clips. remove pads, compress caliper with a c clamp. replace pads and clips, replace calipers, bleed brakes if needed. Done.
